For those who don’t know you, who are you?
I’m Clarissa Menna, a passionate communicator and artist dedicated to authentic expression and creativity.
What do you do?
Clarissa: I specialize in Content Creation and Social Media Management, where I integrate all my creative skills to help businesses grow online through genuine human connections and authentic communication. My background in communication and marketing, combined with deep personal development experiences, has led me to my core philosophy: there is no competition in authenticity. This principle guides me in connecting with the right clients, allowing me to tell the stories behind each business—from its inception to its daily interactions with customers.
How did you come to Suiters?
Clarissa: A friend of mine and my wife’s recommended Suiters to us because they knew a couple living here who had a fantastic experience.
What has surprised you most about living in a coliving?
Clarissa: What has surprised me the most are the connections I’ve been able to make, the people I’ve met, and the experiences we’ve shared. Especially as an immigrant, having a support network brings a sense of security and peace of mind. At the end of the day, it’s the people who transform our lives—after all, we are relational beings.
Do you think living in a coliving helps new residents of the city?
Clarissa: Absolutely, especially if the location is central. I have an independent spirit and enjoy exploring new places on my own, but having a supportive community is invaluable.
Do you have any advice for someone considering joining the Suiters community?
Clarissa: To integrate into a community, it’s essential to be open, available, and willing to invest energy in socializing. Don’t wait for an event to happen—say hello, be genuinely friendly, and show interest in getting to know those who share the space with you. As digital nomads, our work can often be solitary, so breaking that pattern is crucial, not just for our well-being but also for the serendipitous connections life brings.
What has been the most memorable experience you have had in Suiters so far?
Clarissa: Without a doubt, it was the dinner prepared by one of the colivers’ fathers. Chef Namib brought his culinary expertise directly to Suiters, and we had the incredible experience of tasting authentic Arabic food made by his own hands. Beyond being a great chef, he shared his warmth and culture with us, and we had the pleasure of sitting at a table with people from 11 different countries to enjoy it. This is an experience I will cherish forever.
How has the Suiters community inspired you in your personal or professional life?
Clarissa: Being in an environment with people who have different perspectives from mine has helped me conceive new ways of living life. I’ve met entrepreneurs who have taught me more than any available course could, simply by being who they are.
Do you have any personal or professional projects that you are developing while living at Suiters?
Clarissa: My current professional project involves creating content on social media for local clients, whether they are entrepreneurs or brick-and-mortar businesses, like the charming cafés full of personality and history that have yet to stand out as much as they could. My mission is to amplify the voice and authentic expression of each business so that it shines and attracts the people who have always been looking for it without knowing. My team and I achieve this by producing beautiful images that align with the message each business wants to project, telling true stories, and highlighting what’s best and unique about them.
What do you most enjoy doing in Alicante when you are not at Suiters?
Clarissa: I love discovering new cafés, bookstores, and museums. This allows me to connect more deeply with Spain’s gastronomic, intellectual, and artistic culture, as well as the vibrant life of the city.
If you could design an event for Suiters’ residents, what kind of event would it be? Why?
Clarissa: I would organize an event to celebrate the birthdays of the month. Each month, during the last week, all Suiters would be invited to celebrate the lives of those living here, far from home and family. There would definitely be balloons, a birthday cake, and birthday songs in the person’s native language. This would strengthen human bonds, create a true sense of community, and offer a warm welcome to everyone in an unimaginable way.
Clarissa has been an indispensable part of our Suiters community, not only as a resident, but also through her generous volunteer work helping to manage our social media. Eager to expand her portfolio and enhance her CV, she brought her creativity and vibrant energy to our online presence, giving it a fresh and engaging perspective. We are incredibly grateful for her initiative and passion, which has had a lasting impact on our community and strengthened the connection with our audience. Clarissa’s dedication shines through in everything she does, and we are fortunate to have her as part of Suiters.
